I got my new shirt, it’s gone through the wash and came out with a twisted side seam. Did I do something wrong?
- NOPE, this happens when the material is cut against the grain. Here is a blog post that gives an easy explanation of how that happens.
Can I get a shirt that does not have side seams?
- YUP, they’re totally tubular, and we will be making them available really soon, as in like before the end of the year 2022 soon, but keep in mind that seamless shirts are not as flattering as shirts with a side seam. Here is a quick video that explains the difference.
Why was the seam not twisted when I got my shirt?
- When we get the shirts from our supplier, they are starched into place and seem fine, but once they have a go through the washy-washy, the shirts relax (they know they home) and the fibers settle into their natural place.
Can you do something to prevent it?
- Unfortunately not right now. While we’re sourcing our shirts from a third party supplier we have no control over the manufacturing process.
Will you be doing something to change this?
- Fuck yes! Ideally we will manufacture our own shirts, this will give us total control over the manufacturing process, let us supply shirts that are real South African sizes, and be able to offer a larger variety of material options (think bamboo and hemp). The more support we get from our fellow South Africans the quicker we can achieve this goal.
Why is there so few designs?
- Bitch, please!! We just got started, give us a minute we’ll get there.
Why is the larger sizes more expensive?
- Well sugar tits! It’s simple. Bigger shirts, more materials, higher manufacturing cost.
